Easily one of the most active bands in Portugal’s heavy underground right now, the Lisbon trio MAQUINA is back with a new album. Body Transmission stands as their most accessible record to date. They kept the raw techno, krautrock, and EBM elements that put them on the map, but reeled the chaos in with tighter structures and really catchy songwriting.

Following on from two very well-received singles, common sense marks the band’s debut EP. Bringing in the players’ collective love of post-hardcore, emo, and grunge, there are also elements of noise and sludge metal flowing through the veins of this record.
